FOREST, Va. – Tim Fisher of the Virginia Wesleyan University men's basketball team was named the men's basketball Player of the Week by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) for his performance over the week ending on November 10, 2019.
Fisher was dominant on both sides of the ball, helping propel the Marlins to a 109-61 victory over Pfeiffer University in the season-opener on Saturday. The senior dropped 20 points, going 7-for-12 from the field and a perfect 5-for-5 from the charity stripe. Fisher also nailed a 3-pointer on his sole attempt.
Underneath the glass, the Richmond, Va. native put in work as well. He finished the contest with a team-high 12 boards, including nine on the defensive side. The numbers gave him his 13th career double-double.
Round out the stat sheet, Fisher also collected a pair of blocks and a pair of assists.
Fisher and men's basketball return to action at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday as the team takes on William Peace University at home.
