Take a look at what the camps have to offer!
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Virginia Wesleyan University men's basketball team has announced its upcoming 2018 basketball camps. The Marlins will be offering full day camps, a half day camp as well as a team camp.
All three camps will focus on the fundamentals of basketball as well as formations and situational play. Marlins head Coach David Macedo and his staff will be joined by other coaches from around the area, helping athletes develop their basketball skills and mindset.
The full day (July 9-13 & August 6-10) and the half day (July 23-27) camps will both consist of warm ups, skills stations, games/3v3 as well as some free shooting and remarks from the coaches. The full day will be offered to boys and girls ages 5-17 and cost $200, while the half day camp is offered to boys and girls ages 5-10 and will cost $125. Both camps will stretch over the course of a week and will include a free T-shirt.
The team camp will spand over three days, focusing on building team chemistry and creating a vision of success. Here, squads will play a guaranteed five games of competitive, live action play to help earn some practice in real game situations. This camp costs $475 per team and $135 for any athlete that will be boarding at Virginia Wesleyan University (also includes five meals).
