• Six Named Academic All-State

    ASHLAND, Va. – Six student athletes out of Virginia Wesleyan University have been named to the 2018-19 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-Academic Team for their combined performance both in the classroom and on the playing field. Amber Matalus of volleyball, Jacob Pilarski of baseball, Ann Marie Moffett of women’s soccer, Jayla Harris of women’s basketball, Skyler Lattuca of men’s cross country/track and field and Hanna Hull of softball were all selected by the committee.

    ANNANDALE, Va. – Two members of the Virginia Wesleyan University baseball team were named Second Team All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) for their performances over the 2019 season. Jacob Pilarski was tabbed as a starting pitcher while Jordan McDonough was named the Second Team's first baseman.

    ANNANDALE, Va. - Five players from the No. 11 Virginia Wesleyan University softball team were tabbed All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) for their performances over the 2019 season. Hanna Hull was named to the First Team while also being crowned the All-State Pitcher of the Year. Joining on her the First Team was Madison Glaubke while Carla Hall, Julia Sinnett and Jessica Lindsay all took home Second Team honors.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has released its final rankings for the 2019 season and the Virginia Wesleyan University softball team has been tabbed No. 11. The Marlins finished this year with a record of 42-6, making it the the NCAA Regional Round before being eliminateed by Lynchburg.
