Sports Medicine

It is the mission of the sports medicine staff to provide the highest quality care to the student-athletes of Virginia Wesleyan University. The sports medicine staff will work with student-athletes and their coaches to support the mission of the VWU Athletic Department enabling them to safely participate in NCAA intercollegiate athletics. The sports medicine staff consists of certified athletic trainers, team physicians, and other medical professionals that all work towards a common goal of returning student-athletes from injury as quickly as possible, while keeping student athlete safety in the forefront of any care provided. Student-athletes are ultimately responsible for their own health/well-being and need to use the sports medicine staff as a resource to maintain their overall health.

LOCATION: The athletic training room is located on the 1st floor of the Jane P. Batten Student Center. Park in the Batten Center parking lot, and enter the main entrance. Follow the hall straight ahead and past the gymnasium. Take the first hallway on the right, just past the fish tank, and the athletic training room is the last room on the right.
