VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Landry Moffo of the Virginia Wesleyan University women's indoor track & field team has been named the Marlin of the Week for the week ending on Dece,ber 8th, 2019.
On the track, Landry Moffo got things going as he wasted no time getting into the Virginia Wesleyan record books. The sophomore began his day timing a 8.39 in the 60-meter hurdle prelims, which shaved .03 seconds off his own record he set last season. He then posted an 8.48 second time in the finals, earning him fifth overall. Moffo wasn't done there though as he also performed well in the 200m dash. Crossing the line in 23.51 seconds, Moffo earned ninth place out of 56 runners.
His current time in the 60-meter hurdles also ranks 1st in the ODAC and 12th in Division III.
Men's track and field returns to action again on January 17th as the squad heads to the Virginia Military Institute for the two-day Keydet Invitational.
