Men's and Women's XC Teams Tabbed All-Scholar

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Virginia Wesleyan University men's and women's cross country teams were both named Scholar Teams by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Also receiving recognition was Skyler Lattuca of the men's team, who earned individual Scholar Athlete honors.

Men's cross country finished the season team GPA of 3.19. Leading the way on the race course was first year runner Skyler Lattuca who's 3.97 GPA earned him the individual accolade. Lattuca had an incredible year, finishing in the top-10 in nearly every race. He claimed first in the season opener and would go on to set the program's second-fastest time in the 8K (25.33.20). At the year's conclusion, the Middle Island, N.Y. native earned ODAC Rookie of the Year honors.

On the women's side, the team finished the season with a GPA of 3.19 as well. It was Gina Donatelli who posted the squad's top time of the year as she ran a 25:21.1 at the Hood College XC Invite.
