Volleyball Bows Out of ODAC Championship in Semifinal Round

ASHLAND, Va. - The fourth-seeded Virginia Wesleyan University volleyball team fell to #1 Randolph-Macon, 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-21), Friday evening in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship semifinal. With the result, the Marlins conclude their season with a 15-12 record, going 9-3 in conference play.

It was a a tough day for the Marlin offense as the team hit at a .103 attack percentage. Seniors Kristina Scott and Doneisha Hall both came away with seven kills, tying for a team-high. Helping assist the offense were Katie Costin and Meghan Wood who combined for 28 helpers on the night.

Defensively, Alyssa Taylor and Sarah Brush manned the backline, accounting for 13 and 12 digs, respectively. At the net, Scott and Matalus each registered a pair of block assists.
