Duo Finishes Competition at Bridgewater Invitational

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Maggie Kingora and Hannah Turner finished competition at the Bridgewater Invitational on Sunday with the duo shooting similar rounds to their Saturday scores.

Kingora shot an 84 (+12) on Sunday after posting an 83 (+11) on day one to finish with a 167 (+23). She finished in a tie for 18th place.

Turner finished with an 89 (+17) in the second round after an 87 (+15) on the opening day, finishing in a tie for 27th with a 176 (+32).

Christina Herbert of Bridgewater College maintained her lead, shooting a 70 (-2) on Sunday to win the individual crown with a two-day 142 (-2). Alessandra Bertacche climbed from sixth place to second after carding a 73 (+1) on Sunday, finishing 10 shots off the pace of Herbert.

Bridgewater claimed the team crown with a two-day 623 (+47) after shooting a 304 (+16) on Sunday. Stevenson University finished second, 32 strokes off the pace of Bridgewater, followed by Randolph-Macon in third place.

Virginia Wesleyan travels to the Generals Invitational on October 2-3.
