Threat of Weather Forces Change to Softball Schedule
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- The NCAA Division III Softball Committee announced changes to the Saturday slate of games because of the threat of severe weather that is slated to hit eastern Oklahoma tomorrow evening.
Storms in the early evening have potential for lightning and hail, which further necessitated the change.
The Virginia Wesleyan game against Illinois Wesleyan, originally slated for 5 p.m. EST, has been moved up to 2 p.m. EST with hopes of completing that day's slate.
Amherst and Williams will play in the other elimination game on Saturday. That has also been moved up three hours, from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
