Men's Swimming Moves to Eighth After Day Two of ODACs

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Virginia Wesleyan University men's swim team moved into 8th place after day two of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships. The team has amassed 90 points so far.

School records were going down left and right for the Marlins beginning with a pair in the individual races. Kyle Woolf clocked a record 1:06.94 in the 100yd breast to start the morning out. A little while later, Tyler Strong lowered his own school record in the 100yd back as he touched the wall in 57.51. That time would earn the freshman a spot in the finals where he would drop another half second off his time.

The Marlins found success in the relays as well. Strong, Woolf, Grant Morgan and Max Currens topped the program record in the 200yd medley as they clocked a 1:46.87 and in the final relay of the night, the 800yd free, Morgan, Currens, Matt Bavuso and Patrick McNeely combined for a program topping 8:47.20.

Men's swimming will return to action at 10 a.m. on Sunday for the final day of the ODAC Championships.
