Men’s Swimming Earns Home Win Over Greensboro

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Virginia Wesleyan University men's swim team earned another dual meet victory on the year as it defeated Greensboro College on Saturday afternoon. The final score was 105-57.

Tyler Strong took first place in the 100-yard backstroke as he set a time of 59.65 seconds. Along with the 9 points from that race, the freshman also took first place in the 50-yard freestyle clocking in at 23.05 seconds.

Max Currens was also able to notch some first place finishes as well as he had finals times of 5:53.83 and 55.55 in the 500-yard and 100-yard freestyle races respectively.

The Marlins will be back in action on February 15th as they head to Greensboro N.C. for the ODAC Championships. The action is set to kickoff at 10 A.M.
