Men's Swimming Falls Short In Dual with Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. -The Virginia Wesleyan University men's swimming team fell to Salisbury University by a final score of 126-63.

The Marlins were able to secure four first place finishes, but it was not enough to overcome the Seagulls. The 200m Freestyle Relay Team of David Mosley-Heath, Patrick McKneely, Matthew Bavuso and Max Currens took home the victory in 1:57.26 to earn 11 points for their squad. Morgan Grant earned the Marlins 9 points with a win in the 100m IM.

VWU placed the top three finishers in the 400m Freestyle with 
Max Currens finishing in the top spot in 5:09.10 while McKneely was just behind him at 5:51.86 and Bavuso finished in 6:25.10
to round it out for the Marlins. Mosley-Heath (1:17.54) and Grant Morgan (1:31.32) took the top two spots in the 100m Breaststroke as well for VWU.

The Marlins return to the pool after the new year on Jan. 12 for a home meet against Ferrum at 10a.m.
