Men's Swimming Drops Dual With Chowan

MURFREESBORO, NC - The Virginia Wesleyan University men's swim competed against NCAA Division II Chowan University today at the Bynum Brown Aquatic Center on the campus of Chowan University.  

Despite a gritty effort by the Marlin men, VWU fell short by a score of 181.5 to 52.5 to host Chowan University.

The Marlins competed well in the shorter events holding their own in multiple events.  In the 50 meter freestyle Virginia Wesleyan freshman Chase McLaughlin (Knotts Island, NC) finished tied for 2nd place with a time of 26.83.  McLaughlin continued his strong effort finishing 2nd in the 50 meter breaststroke with a time of 31.19. In the 100 meter breastroke, freshman David Mosley-Heath (Upper Marlboro, MD) took 2nd with a time of 1:19.61.  

Next up for the Marlin's will be a home dual meet against Hampden-Sydney on November 11th.  Meet time is set for 2 PM.
