HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- The Virginia Wesleyan University men's swimming team fell 165-23 to Hampden-Sydney College in the first road dual meet of the season for the Marlins. Unlike previous meets which took place in yard pools, this meet featured a meter pool, resulting in differing times.

Jake Morgan placed third in the 800 free with a time of 12:44.57. Patrick McKneely swam the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle, finishing fourth in both events with times of 2:42.68 and 5:40.57 respectively.
The team of Carlo, Woolf, Roberts, and McKneely finished third in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:12.64.
The Marlins will take to the pool again on Saturday, November 18 when the squad travels to Roanoke, Va. for a three-team meet with Emory & Henry and Randolph.
