Marlins Fall to Roanoke in Home Swim Meet

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- The Virginia Wesleyan University men's swim team fell to Roanoke College on Saturday, 124-33.

The highlight of the men's meet was the 100 yard freestyle which Kristian Rinkus won with a time of 52.08, just .58 seconds faster than the Roanoke swimmer.

Rinkus also competed in the 100 yard breaststroke where he finished second with a time of 1:13.00.

Kyle Woolf and Patrick McKneely posted respective times of 25.71 and 27.40 in the 50 yard freestyle, combining for seven points of the team total.

Virginia Wesleyan travel to Hampden-Sydney College on Saturday, November 11 for a 2 p.m. It will be the first road dual match in program history.
