FOREST Va. – Ricky Perrault of the Virginia Wesleyan University men's soccer team was named to the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference First Team for his efforts during the 2018 season. This is the fourth-straight year he has been selected for an All-Conference Team (One first team selection and three second team selections).
Perrault spearheaded the offense for the Marlin attack, often finding himself as the lone striker at the top of the formation. The senior capped off his career at Virginia Wesleyan with his best season to date as he netted a team-leading 12 goals, which also ranked third among the entire conference. Perrault got stronger as the year went on, scoring two goals in three of the final four games. Perhaps his top moment came in the ODAC Championship opening round as he scored two (including the game-winning goal) which helped edge Randolph-Macon.
The Portsmouth, Va. native has also got it done off the field as well, earning ODAC All-Academic honors in each year he was eligible.
Perrault and the rest of the men's soccer team finished the year with a record of 5-12-1, making it to the second round in the ODAC Championship.
