VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Virginia Wesleyan University men's and women's golf teams have released their fall schedules for the upcoming 2018-19 season. The men will compete in five tournaments while the women have three tournaments lined up with room for more to be added later.
The men will begin their season on Sept. 9 as they head to Winchester Country Club to participate in the Greene Turtle Invitational. That invite, which is hosted by Shenandoah will stretch into the following day.
One week later, the men travel to Harrisonburg, Va. to complete in the two-day Tom Kinder Memorial Tournament. Hosted by Bridgewater, this will take place at Lakeview Golf Course.
The team will have a few weeks off until their next competition, coming back Oct. 8 to play in the Ted Keller Memorial Tournament. This two-day competition will be played at Hanover Country Club in Ashland, Va. hosted by Randolph-Macon. Six days later, the team will play on their home course as they host the VGSA Intercollegiate at Sleepy Hole Golf Course.
To finish out the fall season, the Marlins go south to Greensboro, N.C. where they will compete in the O'Briant Jensen Memorial, played at Sedgefield Country Club.
The women will kick off their fall season with a one-day competition at Vista Links Golf Course on Sept. 15. The Marlins then head to Harrisonburg one week later for the two-day Bridgewater College Fall Invite played at Lakeview Golf Course.
Rounding out the confirmed schedule will be the Greene Turtle Invitational on Oct. 6-7. This tournament will be hosted by Shenandoah and will be played at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club.
