    ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The Virginia Wesleyan University women’s basketball team fell, 75-65, to North Carolina Wesleyan College Saturday afternoon on the road. With the loss, the Marlins move to 3-6 on the season while the Bishops improve to 4-6.

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. ? Zoe Traficante of the Virginia Wesleyan University women?s soccer team was recognized for two major awards over the past few days. She was named a Scholar All-America Second Team member by the United Soccer Coaches (USC) before earning a spot on the Second Team All-State roster as voted by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).

The Marlins had received votes in the previous two polls, this being the first time of the year to crack the top-25.
