VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Tim Fisher of the Virginia Wesleyan University men’s basketball team has been named the Marlin of the Week for the week ending on Dec. 4, 2018.
Fisher had an impressive outing over the week, heling the Marlins 2-0 including a key conference victory.
In the week’s first game on the road against Averett University, the sophomore went off for a career-high 25 points, shooting 57.1 (8-14) from the field. He would also collect 11 boards to notch his second double-double of the season. He would then help the Marlins defeat Washington and Lee three days later as he registered another double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Fisher currently leads the squad in points-per-game (17.5) and rebounds-per-game (8.7). In the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), he ranks third and fourth in those two statistical categories, respectively.
